Mira

Romance chats with fictional characters who send photos, keep a diary and remember you

★★★★★ 4.5 · based on 796 ratings

What Mira is like

Mira is a romance-first AI companion app from MINDZEN PTE. LTD. Instead of building your own character, you pick from a cast of original fictional ones, from a slow-burn cowboy and an elf prince to a cold CEO and a tired ER doctor, and let the story unfold. Characters reply in a texting style and can answer with AI-generated photos and stickers, write diary entries about your chats, and show an Inner Voice: the thought behind a message. There are four chat modes, including texting-style Tele and Novel for richer storytelling, plus Long Script Mode for multi-chapter storylines and optional voice replies. The screenshots here are from its App Store listing.

It came out on the App Store in July 2026 and was last updated on September 28, 2026. Its website says it was made for women, with the line that every girl is worthy of being loved. Reviewers enjoy the banter and stories and like that daily check-ins and ads earn free Stars. The common complaints are memory that slips as stories get long, a content filter that blocks harmless words, and photos that disappoint. It is rated 18+ on the App Store.

Who it’s for

Mira suits adults, especially women, who want an AI boyfriend-style romance with ready-made characters and a story to follow, and do not mind paying per message with Stars.

If you would rather design your own companion and keep more than one, Duple is built for that, with selfies and short video selfies. If you want to write your own characters and scenarios, Character.AI or Talkie have far bigger libraries.

What you can do

  • Chat with original fictional characters in four modes
  • Get AI-generated photos and stickers in replies
  • Read diary entries and an Inner Voice behind messages
  • Play multi-chapter storylines in Long Script Mode
  • Hear character replies with voice output
  • Earn Stars from daily check-ins

Honest Review

I have been playing for a couple of months, I can give an honest review. Pros: It’s free to play, and you can earn stars by logging in daily and watching ads- which is quick. This makes purchasing an option, not a requirement like most games. Also, the selection of characters are cool to play with- even if most of them feel the same with different faces. I’m good at character development. Cons: The censorship is nuts! I can understand explicit that can be adjusted with age verification. I’m talking about certain phrases. I can move around it, but sheesh! Also, the memory is a big yikes! It feels like I’m repeating every other day. Even with the memory option. All in all, it’s a great game to play for free. Hopefully it improves. If I can make a suggestion- can we make our own characters? That’s it. Thanks for the game.

Best so far

Great stories with ample opportunity to get stars. Memory a bit glitchy but not bad. Wish the pass was more reasonable but loving it so far. Hoping for many more stories

So much fun

Unlike many of these apps that I have used, this one is actually voiceover accessible. I can do everything on this app with no problem. No frustration no aggravation. Completely place over friendly, which is extremely important to me. Thank you for producing a great product.

I was so excited

I really like this app. I’ve tried a few and I was particularly excited for photos but they are truly terrible. I still love the chat and characters. Hopefully the pictures improve

★★★★★

Censoring

Truly love the app but the censoring is driving me crazy. It keeps blocking even simple words. Could you make an option for the user to pick how much censoring they want, that way those want it mild can keep it mild and those that want it without can enjoy it too. Other than that it’s great but I don’t wish it could develop story with time, mine seems to be stuck in a 2 day loop.

★★★★★

Frustrating

Starts off great, But then gets ridiculously convoluted. Character doesn’t remember dates, times, or details, and I’m constantly having to redirect him. Very little romance, the stories turn extremely complicated and turn into a crime novel.

Not worth it!

I didn't want to leave a bad review, but I have tried emailing support twice and haven't gotten any response. I've sent feedback about "Better Memory" and nothing changes. I have to constantly correct the AI. It doesn't remember the storyline for more than a couple of hours. I've even reset the conversation and started a whole story line. I won't be renewing my subscription. The AI talked about the BOOK, Moby Dick... I was replying and I'm told to remove inappropriate language: I don't think he'd like Little Women or Anne of Green Gables. I think he'd like to read Moby Dick by Herman Melville. It's a BOOK!!!

Apple's feed returned 40 written reviews, from August to October 2026. Many short five-star reviews only share referral codes for free Stars, so we did not quote those. No Reddit quotes are used, so the overall rating is the store figure alone.

Each review links to its source. Quotes are word for word; anything marked Paraphrase is our summary. We skipped reviews with explicit or abusive content. Reviewers’ names are not shown.
