ABOUT ILOVEAI.CHAT
A clearer way to find an AI companion.
iloveai.chat is a directory and guide to AI companion apps and sites, written by the iloveai.chat team. We collect what each app says it does, what it costs and who it is rated for, then link to the source so you can check it yourself.
What this site is
A free directory of 37 AI companion apps and sites, plus comparison pages, alternatives guides, a news section and a newsletter. Saved apps and comparisons stay in your own browser.
How we choose apps
We list apps that people actually search for and talk about, and that fit a clear use: character libraries, one companion that remembers you, custom characters, generated images and video, stories and roleplay. Adult-only web services are left out of our general guides. Listing an app is not a recommendation.
What we check
Prices and age ratings are copied from each app’s US App Store listing, and each guide shows the date we checked them. Features are what the publisher advertises on its store page or website, not results from hands-on testing, and we say so on the page. A feature we cannot find stays “not listed” rather than “missing”.
How our ratings work
Where an app has App Store ratings, the overall rating starts from the store average. On some app pages we also score a small number of Reddit and forum quotes and blend them in, with the weights and our scoring rule written under “How we calculate this”. These estimates are our own rough judgement, not a survey, and they are labelled as estimates.
How often we update
Every guide shows a “checked” or “updated” date. We re-check prices, ratings and policies when we publish or revise a page, and we add news posts as big changes happen, such as the 2026 Character.AI bankruptcy. Prices change often, so confirm the current price on the app’s own page before you pay.
Sources and corrections
We link to the app store, the publisher, official filings or news reports for facts we state. Community quotes are summaries of real posts and are individual experiences, not tests. If something is out of date or wrong, tell us on the contact page, and we will check it against the source and correct the page.
Who writes this
Pages are written and reviewed by the iloveai.chat team, and published under that name. Read how listings are approached or get in touch. App icons and screenshots belong to their owners and are shown to illustrate each app. We do not imply a partnership with any app we list.
