Him is an AI boyfriend app built like an interactive romance novel. You browse a cast of male love interests by tag, such as CEO, mafia, slow burn or childhood friend, pick one and start a story. Every reply shapes what he says next, and a relationship bar moves up from acquaintance as you talk. Its App Store screenshots also show stories with two love interests at once, generated scene images and a diary where the character keeps notes on your story. You can create your own character too, and himchat.ai has the same Discover and Create sections in a browser.
Reviewers who love it call it an escape and praise the memory and storylines. One likes that you can add your own memories. The biggest complaint is cost: reviewers say each message uses 100 Rings, so free Rings run out after a handful of replies. Others say stories lose track of where you are, and some found darker storylines distressing or felt the story pushed toward sex when they wanted something gentler.
Who it’s for
Him suits adults who enjoy story-led romance with male leads, including darker tropes, and who are fine paying per message for longer sessions.
If you want one boyfriend you design and talk to every day, a flat monthly price, or only gentle storylines, a companion app may suit you better. Our best AI boyfriend apps guide compares both kinds.

Rings
I’ve only used the app a selective few times, but an 100 ring use may be a little out of touch. It’s disheartening to know if you have 1510 rings, you only have 15 messages you can send and then to get more is watch two ads every 30 minutes OR do the surveys IF you haven’t done them all. The app is good overall, with maybe the best bot memory, storylines, etc. It is just the 100 ring use that throws me off of putting a 5 star.
If you enjoy being immersed in a good story with a hot guy of your choosing this site is for you. No monthly subscription. If you can’t find the guy you like, create him.
This app is amazing. The way you can create your own stories or chat with entertaining pre existing characters is great. The memory feature helps make the story almost flawless. 10/10 app. Very entertaining.
I like the APP a lot. Good memory and it gives you the option to enter your own memories. The biggest flaw is that the characters often respond to internal thoughts even when specified, and it responds really randomly and weird at times. This results in a lot of deletions and having to repeat conversations which cost me rings (money) and time.
Annoying. You can only get two messages every hour and it just drags... Unless you pay rediculous amounts for coins they take a ton of. 100 coins gets you about one message. Pointless.
I truly love this app, but we should really be able to get more of a daily limit for rings AND earn more. It’s outrageous that after you send a chat it uses 100 rings and the first few days of the daily limit, you only get 110 rings. I’ve spent so much money on this app and I can only take it so far…
this app is basically a glorified choose your own adventure romance novel. even when you advocate for a wholesome connection the app steers towards a sexual connection. and the opportunities for earned experiences are limited basically forcing you to make purchases in order to continue your story. do not recommend.
Story literally changes everything thing im doing. Sitting in my room doing something now suddenly im standing across the house having a conversation out of sequence. Poor experience don’t recommend the app
I am leaving five stars so that people can read this. … Of the main characters I was literally feeling gaslit by an AI. There was nothing I could do. … If you have been abused please do not use this app. You will be triggered.
We found no Reddit threads about Him that we could read, so no Reddit quotes appear here yet. Older App Store reviews call the app Drip AI, its earlier name. We skipped App Store reviews with sexual content.
