A closer look at Lilacs.

Lilacs: AI Characters, from Mithra Research Ltd, launched on the App Store in July 2026. It is a social character platform: you chat with community-made characters, or create your own with a personality, background and way of speaking, and keep them private or share them. Lilacs says characters have memory built in for long-running stories, and it advertises generous message limits. You can also customise a profile, follow creators and connect with friends. Free to download, with optional Bloom ($7.99 a month) and Ambrosia ($29.99 a month) plans. iPhone only; rated 17+ on the App Store.
